I built a tool that aggregates every software job posted on the internet, and tracks software salaries

I wanted to know which skills were getting automated, and which were growing

The data is fascinating, check it out

    What's heading down?

we started collecting data in Nov 2024 (40k jobs so far)

haven't seen any significant declines since then, but I'm guessing that will change over time

there have definitely been upward trending skills though. Particularly AI and Blockchain skills

I wrote a bit about them here: https://devlist.co/blog/dec-2024-hiring-trends They had the highest salaries and number of job postings in December 2024

What are LLM skills? Are we talking about a good prompt engineer, a freshly minted CS PhD who can do research into models, or somebody who curates training data?

What I was reading the other day was that blockchain jobs were going sideways for a while but are now surging post the election.

for devlist we are just taking the literal string LLM.

So if a job says "LLM" under job requirements we record it

ya I think since bitcoin and crypto prices have gone up recently there has definitely been more activity in the space
