Cool tech, but I'm not quite understanding the application of visible light transmission.
Why not... Just wrap the light in a field (fiber optics). Seems like quite a problem that a gnat flying through or fog rolling in would spur errors. I could only see this being used in a completely static environment, like data centers I guess, but fiber exists.
